New Nintendo 3DS games: Nintendo Switch games in the works
Nintendo has announced a slew of new games for the Switch, including one from a third-party developer that was only announced a few days ago.
The game is titled The Surge and is being developed by the indie studio Supermassive Games, and it will launch sometime this year.
According to a post on the official Nintendo Switch Twitter account, the game will be playable at E3 2018 in Los Angeles and Nintendo will also be showcasing some of the other games at that event.
The Surge will be a game in a “multiplayer mode” for the console and features “three teams of five players fighting to become the top three teams in a tournament,” according to a statement from Supermassive.
The Surge will “have competitive modes,” as well as a multiplayer mode for “players to play cooperatively against their friends,” the statement added.
The game is scheduled to launch in Q4 2019.

Supermassive is one of those developers, but it’s not their only developer.
In the past, they’ve made games for Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4.
SuperMassive is a third party developer who has previously worked on other Nintendo games, including Splatoon and Project CARS.
In fact, the studio was even behind the first ever Mario Kart 7 game, Super Mario Odyssey.
Supermassive’s The Surge was announced last week and was only revealed last week.
The company’s announcement of a third game is only a week away, and Nintendo has not yet officially confirmed the title.
